It was aprox., 1 3/4 inch width, belt with rectangular hardware pieces seperating the belt straps. Worn around the waist and when needed as a horse hobble is wrapped into itself to form hobble. I have rough patterns for these style of belts somewhere if you want to have a go at it yourself. You will have to adjust the measurements a bit but i can write out the design for you. They are fairly popular and surprisingly practical!"stockmans hobbles" i think they are called.

They are called dinnertime hobbles and they were originally made with rings and not the welded squares.
I buy the welded squares thru Tandy. (yes they are pricy, but it evens out the wear.) I will get back to you ASAP when i finish the pattern. |
